Saphira is a great addition to our program. My thanks to Kim and Lee Chapman of Avalanche Kennels for their help in getting us such a great dog. Saphira is the exception to a Cane Corso. I have never met a dog so affectionate to anyone she meets. She is very aloof and stands her ground but once you tell her it's "ok" she is on the ground giving you her belly for a rub! She is wonderful with children and always shows great patience with them. She is beautiful on a leash, and makes eye contact the whole time. People are always amazed at her ability to read our body language and seems to know what you want without asking. By the time she was twelve weeks old she was responding to hand signals! She loves playing, especially with her pack! She is very protective of her family, many times on hikes she is the first to see potential danger and get right in front of me and my husband and alerts whoever of her presence. Saphira has a big block head and a thick bone build. Despite her large build she is very graceful and loves to run and chase tennis balls. Saphira excells in working sports, obedience, and the show ring.

It is with great sadness yet joy that we are announcing Saphira's leave with Dogwood Cane Corso and that she is returning back home to our mother kennel in South Carolina with Avalanche Cane Corso. Kim and Lee are very excited to welcome her and Tallulah back so they can continue passing on their great genetics and keep the Corso breed strong and growing in the right direction. Saphira's mother Celine is there as is her son Brimstone, so plenty of family to visit with her return.
